We're delighted to be back again for our second year to support the Stormont Mile in assocation with Childrens Cancer Unit Charity; this Saturday 30th September.

We're raising funds for the Children's Cancer Unit at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children by taking part in a 1 mile race from Parliament Buildings to the gates of the Stormont Estate.

All runners will receive a souvenir race t-shirt and bragging rights to say that they ran Stormont - if you're not a runner then Stride with Pride!

Irish record holder at both 800m and 1,500m distances, Ciara Mageean is an ambassador for the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity and was on hand to launch the Stormont Mile at Parliament Buildings. Ciara urged the running community in Northern Ireland to get behind the event. She said:

“I know that runners in Northern Ireland are one big friendly community so I am sure they will throw their support behind this important cause – while also testing themselves over the mile distance. I hope to be there on the day to cheer on the runners, young and old, pros and amateurs, and I may even give it a go myself!”

A fantastic opportunity for all the family to get involved and support the Children’s Cancer Unit Charity that assists in the work of the medical team and staff at the Children’s Haematology and Oncology Unit at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children.

The CCUC also supports the families impacted across Northern Ireland.

Our very own Jim Burke had this to say.

"Hagan Homes is delighted to again support this fantastic charity and the work they do to help families in their darkest hours, and we hope other businesses will do the same by getting involved too."
