At Hagan Homes, we don’t just build homes, we build communities. That’s why we’re proud to announce a transformative £150,000 partnership with Belfast-based charity Start360, designed to create meaningful opportunities for individuals facing complex personal and social challenges.
This funding will support Start360’s Volunteer Service, a programme dedicated to helping people with experience of the criminal justice system find structure, purpose, and new opportunities through volunteering. By offering tailored training, mentorship, and work experience, the Volunteer Service aims to rebuild lives and break cycles of harmful behaviour.
The new pledge follows the success of a £75,000 pilot project supported by Hagan Homes over the last two years. Building on this impact, we’ve doubled our commitment to ensure the continuation and expansion of this vital service.
Johnny Moore, Start360’s first-ever full-time Volunteer Co-Ordinator, leads this innovative programme, providing personalised support to help participants find meaningful roles and develop skills that enable recovery and personal growth.
Jim Burke, Managing Director of Hagan Homes, emphasises the importance of the partnership:
“At Hagan Homes, we believe in building communities, not just homes. When we understood the real-life impact this service has on people who are trying to rebuild their lives, we knew we wanted to do more. Volunteering creates purpose, hope, and opportunity—and that’s something worth investing in.”
Through this partnership, Hagan Homes is proud to support lasting social change in Northern Ireland. By helping individuals take their first steps toward recovery and reintegration, we’re strengthening not only lives but also the communities we serve.
We look forward to seeing the continued success of Start360’s Volunteer Service and the positive impact it will have on countless lives across Belfast.
