Brighter nights, fresh flowers, the smell of hot cross buns… Easter is upon us. We have pulled together some top tips for decorating your home this Easter to make it egg-stra special (sorry)!

Get creative with your centrepiece

Not only does a floral display on your table this Easter make a stunning centrepiece, it also emits a wonderful spring fragrance! They’re so simple to make, arrange your flowers in a lined basket, top them with some green moss and top it off with a rosemary sprig or too. Finish it off with some eggs to give it an Easter feel.

Go bold

Florals for spring… groundbreaking we know, but they are incredibly popular. They’re a fantastic way to bring some colour into your home. If you’re feeling extra bold why not try clashing floral prints? Just remember if you take that extra step to make sure that the base colour matches on each piece. For some inspo - check why not check out the queen of florals Cath Kidston.

Play with pastels

Pastel colours are a go to when choosing Easter decorations, probably because of their light and bright spring-like associations. If florals aren’t your thing, why not experiment with different shades of the same pastel colour. Whether it’s blue, pink, yellow or green. An easy way to do this is with plates on your table setting or accents across a room. Even a pastel napkin will give an Easter table a classy edge and can be bought easily on Amazon.

Make an Egg Tree

This is a great activity all the family can get involved with, and is a lovely addition to your Easter decorations. Grab yourself a branch with quite a few springs on there, hard boil some eggs and get painting. If you’re not the artsy type you can purchase pre-painted eggs (we won’t tell) … to make it that little bit extra why not add some fairy lights?

Make a bunny napkin

If going all out isn’t your thing, we’ve got you covered. Bring a touch of fun to your table with Easter bunny napkins. Easily done with a few simple folds and it’s a great exercise to get the kids involved with. See here how to make them (https://www.marthastewart.com/908072/bunny-fold-napkins)

With these few simple tips, you’ll have your home looking egg-travagant this Easter!
