Times may seem tough right now, but that doesn’t mean we should miss out on any of the fun. We’ve compiled a list of our best Hagan DIY hacks to ‘haunt up’ your home this halloween.

Pimp up your Pumpkin

Investing in ‘premium’ looking pumpkins can be costly. You’ll more than likely have everything you need in the house already to create some stylish cupcake pumpkins. All you need is some glue and cupcake casings, begin by folding cupcake liners in half. Starting at the top of the pumpkin, attach a matte black folded cupcake liner as close to the stem as you can with double stick tape. Overlap liners slightly as you fill a vertical line in to the bottom. Using the metallic folder liners, make another vertical row being sure to overlap slightly to get a nice textured look making sure the rounded edges are what show. Repeat steps until you completely cover your pumpkin. We suggest using black liners, as it gives it the most impact.

Get creative with your veg!

This is a great activity to do with the kids. All you need is some vegetables, get creative, don’t just think pumpkins. Why not try avocados, Broccoli, kiwi - whatever you’ve got really. Grab yourself a bag of Googly eyes and start sticking them on. Instantly you’ve got yourself some creepy looking produce. A great way to add some spook to your fruit bowl this Halloween.

Spider Web Plant Hanger

This is by far the easiest Halloween hack of all, Using hot glue or craft glue, attach faux spiders all over a macrame plant hanger. Pop in a spiky plant or succulent to complete the look.

Have a Distinctive Door with a Dried Flower Wreath

We all know that dried flowers are all the rage right now. Give them a spooky touch by adding some plastic spiders. To make: Nestle dried flowers and branches into the wreath form (be sure they are secure by weaving them into the wreath base). Start with larger items and add smaller, thinner items on top. You can spook it up with some fake cobwebs or spiders.

Happy Halloween from the team at Hagan Homes!
